Afraid to Ask Questions Before You Get Shot?

Would you hire a video company to produce a :60-:90 business intro video for your Website? Regina Drury, Owner-Golden Key productions, LLC conducted a poll on LinkedIn using the above question and out of the 68 people responding to the poll since July 14th, two thirds (69%) were men and one third women (31%).  The overall result from the poll 22% responded yes,  60% selected to respond no, and 17% were not sure, and voted maybe.

Are You Thinking about promoting a video in hopes that it will go viral?

I agree with Eric Papczun in his article The Four Pillars of Viral Videos .  He states simply ” …
To connect the brand message with viewers, marketers need to provide entertainment to the audience while finding the happy medium between a heavily branded video and a non-branded video that fails to convey the intended message…”  This article is well written and easy to follow.

There are many ways to promote a video.  One way is to use a service like Traffic Geyser (for a fee) One example of a pleased user http://www.kewego.it/video/iLyROoafvTh0.html.  Many people use YouTube to promote videos (no fees) and setup a channel where they upload all of their videos for others to subscribe to receiving.  “…
Despite the growing number of people who watch online video in the primetime hours of 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., for the most part online-video viewing continues to be a work-time distraction, according to new data from TubeMogulBrightcove. That’s especially true in the waning hours of the workday, as more video is streamed online from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. than at any other time. and

The research looked at a sample of more than 600 million video streams from a variety of broadcaster, magazine, music label and newspaper clients that distribute their videos through Brightcove’s video management platform and localized their time to determine peak times for viewing. What it found was that nearly 6 percent of all video views occurred from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. — just as the day starts to wind down. But viewing across nearly all verticals held steady from about 2 p.m. to midnight.  Read the full article by Ryan Rawler

Are you Afraid to Ask Questions?
If you determine that video marketing is a strategy you would like to use, don’t be afraid to ask questions and research a  video production company that can help you promote your business.  You may even select to make your own videos and there are many tutorials available online, both free and for a fee.

EHow A Great Place to Post Articles
Ever wonder How something is done and your not sure where to go for an answer?  Perhaps you have something to share and you are not sure where you might share it?  Perhaps EHow is the answer.  One example of an excellent article on EHow is written by Joselito Sering, whom shares his experiences with Twitter.  This article is short, instructional and easy to apply.  In fact, if you are not using Twitter, this article might sway increase the desires to experience it for yourself.

My experiences with Twitter are positive and I am a fan of Hootsuite over Tweetdeck for the ease of use for automation of tweets, and it is a simple application that doesn’t require a degree in rocket science.  One of my favorite tools to use is TrueTwit, which allows you to stop wasting time with spammers. I also enjoy Twitpic for photo sharing.

If you have a favorite application that gets your social media message in front of your audience, please share it with me on Twitter.  @jennifer636

EHow is a great place to post articles and there is no cost other than time involved.
